Regulations for the Benefeet “Every step brings a benefit”
1. What it is
1.1 “Every step brings a benefit” is an exclusive promotion for subscribers/members to our Benefeet program: with every purchase of a Geox product in participating Geox Shops, subscribers/members get “step-points” that can be converted into discounts to use when purchasing other Geox products.
2. Validity period
2.1 The points collection promotion is valid from 03/01/2017 to 27/12/2017.
2.2 The discount voucher(s) awarded must be used no later than 31/12/2017.
3. Where points can be collected and the discount used
3.1 In Geox Shops taking part in the campaign in the Hong Kong SAR only. The promotion is not valid in Geox Outlet shops nor for purchases at geox.com. The list of participating Geox Shops can be found at benefeet.geox.com.
4. Who it’s for
4.1 Customers, over the age of 18 who already subscribe/register to the Benefeet program between 24/11/2015 and 31/12/2016. Customers can register for the Benefeet program free of any charge at any participating Geox Shop. Employees and associates of the promoter companies (Geox S.p.A., Geox Retail S.r.l., Geox Asia Pacific Limited) may not take part.
5. How to get points
5.1 On all purchases made between 03/01/2017 and 27/12/2017 at participating Geox Shops in Hong Kong, customers will receive step-points (referred to as “points” below). As follows:
- 1 point per HK$10* spent on adult & children footwear/apparel/accessories/cleaning products/insoles
(The last day on which points can be earned upon purchases shall be 27/12/2017, notwithstanding discount voucher(s) can be used until 31/12/2017.)
5.2 Points are calculated on the rounded down total net value of each line of the sales receipt/transaction**
- * “Adult footwear/apparel/accessories” mean Men’s and Women’s footwear/apparel/accessories; and “Children’s footwear/apparel/accessories” mean Children’s and Infant’s footwear/apparel/accessories. All Adult’s and Children’s footwear/apparel/accessories eligible for points calculation. Every rounded down HK$10 = 1 point.
- * Cleaning products, insoles and shopping bags are eligible for points calculation but are not eligible for any other promotion or program available to Benefeet subscribers (e.g. multiple purchase bonus) unless otherwise stated. Every rounded down HK$10 = 1 point
**This refers to the net value of each line of the sales receipt/transaction and means the price of each item:
- Purchased on the same sales receipt/transaction;
- Less any deduction made for associated promotion and/or discount (sales, promotions, etc).
Use of the Birthday Discount
The 20% Birthday Discount is available to the subscriber from 15 days prior to until 15 days after his/her birthday which is applied to the total value of the sales receipt/transaction before any deductions are made using discount vouchers (as defined under Paragraph 9 below). The Birthday Discount applies together with other promotion and event bonus.
Step points will only be calculated after the birthday discount is made, each line of the sales receipt/transaction for the products will still be qualified to earn points after the birthday discount.
Example: if, in the same transaction, I purchase one children’s item for HK$500, one adult product for HK$2,000 and a cleaning product for HK$200 using the 20% birthday discount I received for my birthday on the 8th of March and the HK$100 discount voucher obtained from a purchase on the 5th of March, the sum I pay will be HK$2,060(*) and I will earn 216 points (**).
(**)40 points for the children’s product (obtained by: HK$500 – 20% = HK$400 (40 points) + 160 points for the adult product (obtained by: HK$2,000 – 20% = HK$1,600 (160 points) + 16 points for the cleaning product (obtained by: HK$200 – 20% = HK$160 (16 points) + 10 points from multiple purchase bonus – 10 points redeemed from the HK$100 purchase discount.
Purchases with discount vouchers awarded under the “Every Step brings a benefit” promotion
When discount voucher(s) are used for purchasing a product, the face value of the voucher(s) is registered on a separate line on the sales receipt/ transaction (and so do not contribute to the net value of the purchased product, as opposed to other discounts and promotions).
When making a purchase using a discount voucher, the points to be attributed to that purchase will be reduced by an amount based on multiplying the face value of the voucher by -1. (for example: Whilst points will be added per line on the sales receipt/transaction. If a HK$100 discount is used, 10 points will be deducted from the sales receipt/transaction)
In case of returns
Returns of products are registered on a separate line of the sales receipt/transaction (and so do not contribute to the net value of the purchased product, as opposed to discounts and promotions). In case of a return of a product, the points are calculated by applying the principles in this Paragraph 5, and this is then deducted from the customer’s points total.
6. Rules for collection points
To collect points earned, the purchaser must identify themselves as a Benefeet subscriber/member before the sales receipt is issued and must at the same time also provide their name and surname, mobile phone number or e-mail as given in their Benefeet registration. If this is not done then the points will not be awarded to the purchase and it is not possible to claim or recover any points once the sales receipt is issued.
7. Bonus points
7.1 Multiple purchase bonus
Customers subscribing to the Benefeet program who purchase at least 2 Geox brand products (excluding cleaning products, insoles and shopping bags) in a participating Geox Shop, on a single sales receipt or in a single transaction, will receive an extra 5 points as a bonus for each purchased product. The multiple purchase bonus applies together with the event bonus.
7.2 Events/Promotion Bonus
During the validity period of the “Every Step brings a benefit” promotion, Geox reserves the right to and carry out special promotional events at given Geox Shops and/or for given periods of time and/or for given product lines and/or for given categories of Benefeet subscribers/members.
All purchase of cleaning products, insoles and shopping bags will be excluded from such events/promotions unless otherwise stated.
Details of the events (example: duration, products included, number of extra points, etc. will be communicated to the Benefeet subscribers involved via instore communications, via text messages and/or email* and posted on Benefeet website (i.e. benefeet.geox.com). (* Members/ Subscribers who did not give Geox permission to use their contact information for marketing purposes will be excluded.)
The events bonus is cumulative with the multiple purchase bonus.
8. How to accumulate points
8.1 Customers may accumulate points at any Geox Shop taking part in the program (even if it is different to the Geox Shop where they registered for the Benefeet program).
8.2 The “Every step brings a benefit” promotion does not apply retrospectively, and customers cannot claim points for purchases made before their date of registration with the Benefeet program, even if they purchased products during the validity period of the promotion (see Paragraph 5 above) Customers also cannot claim points for purchases in a Geox Shop which only started taking part in the campaign at a date after the purchase was made.
8.3 When a customer registers with the Benefeet program they are allocated a customer code. If a customer registers more than once (e.g. by providing different phone numbers upon registration), they will be allocated more than one customer code. Points accumulated by the same Benefeet subscriber, but with different customer codes even if belonging to the same person, cannot be counted together or moved from one customer code to another.
8.4 Points awarded in different participating Geox Shops in the Hong Kong SAR made by the same Benefeet subscriber using a single customer code, are counted together and allocated to that one customer code.
8.5 Benefeet subscribers who accumulate points in Geox Shops in more than one country/region are awarded separate and distinct points balances for each country/region and these cannot be added together to make a single points balance.
Benefeet subscribers who registered in Hong Kong SAR can only accumulate points and use points in the Hong Kong SAR only. Points accumulated from any other country/region, including without limitation the Macau SAR and the People’s Republic of China cannot be added to the points balance accumulated in Hong Kong SAR nor transferred to the customer code registered in the Hong Kong SAR, and vice versa.
Each point balance earned in “Every step brings a benefit” is governed by the terms and regulations as announced by Geox from time to time in that particular country/region.
By the same token, associated discount vouchers are redeemable only in the country/region in which they were awarded.
8.6 Benefeet subscribers can check their balances on their sales receipts or on their personal Benefeet web page, if they have activated one. The points balance is updated at the time of purchase/event that generated them; in case of technical limitations/problems, points total will be available within 48 hours.
9. Discount vouchers and status
9.1 When the customer obtains a certain number of points they are granted a “status” which will be notified to the customer in the sales receipt and the following discount vouchers are awarded in the customer’s record accordingly:
9.2 Discounts can be used exclusively for purchasing products at full price and not to be used together with any other promotions unless otherwise stated (and not for products sold at any discounted price, whether as part of a “sale’ or any other promotion) and only between 01/03/2017 and 31/12/2017 (this being the final date for using discounts).
9.3 Discount vouchers cannot be used to purchase cleaning products, insoles and shopping bags.
9.4 On reaching each of the above points balances and associated statuses, Benefeet subscribers are awarded the corresponding discount vouchers, which can be used at a participating Geox Shops in Hong Kong.
9.5 On reaching Urban Walker status, the corresponding discount voucher is awarded and may be used on a subsequent purchase no later than 31/12/2017 provided the purchase value of the purchase is greater than or equal to the value of the voucher being used.
9.6 On reaching Globe Walker status, the corresponding discount voucher is awarded and maybe used on a subsequent purchase no later than 31/12/2017. This may also be used with the discount voucher awarded for the Urban Walker Status, if not already used, and provided that the total purchase value is greater than or equal to the value of the discount vouchers used.
9.7 On reaching Moon Walker status, the corresponding discount voucher is awarded, and subscriber can decide to use it immediately (that is to say, discounting the purchase that led to reaching Moon Walker status) or to use it on a subsequent purchase to be made on or before 31/12/2017. In either case, the subscriber can choose whether to use the voucher on its own or to combine it with Urban Walker and/or Globe Walker vouchers, if not already used and provided the value of the total purchase value is greater than or equal to the overall value of the vouchers being used.
9.8 On reaching Star Walker status, the corresponding discount voucher is awarded and subscribers can decide to use it immediately (that is to say, discounting the purchase that led to reaching Star Walker status) or to use it on a subsequent purchase to be made on or before 31/12/2017. In either case, the subscriber can choose whether to use the voucher on its own or combine it with the Urban Walker, Globe Walker and/or Moon Walker vouchers, if not already used and provided the total value of the purchase is greater than or equal to the overall value of the vouchers being used.
9.9 The maximum points accumulation for subscribers/members is 1,000 points, subscribers/ members with 1,000 points will not be able to earn any extra points, discount or other advantage. Member/ subscribers may choose to start to restart their points earning scheme when they reach 1,000 points.
9.10 Benefeet subscribers/members can check their points balances and discount vouchers on their purchase receipts or on their Benefeet personal web pages, if activated. Geox Benefeet program team will endeavor to update subscribers’ points total and the discount vouchers awarded within 48 hours, but subscribers/members should note that technical limitations/issues beyond reasonable control may cause delays.
9.11 On receiving a discount voucher, the points accumulated up to that time, which led to receipt of the voucher itself, are not zeroed but remain in the points balance of the subscriber net of any vouchers already used on the receipt/transaction that led to receipt of the voucher itself.
9.12 A points balance that is above one status level but below the next status level only gives the customers the right to claim the discount voucher corresponding to the lower status. (Example: 180 points qualify for a HK$100 discount voucher, for Urban Walker status (150 points)).
9.13 Each discount voucher can be awarded and used only once and exclusively by the particular registered Benefeet subscriber/member it was awarded to.
9.14 Discount vouchers are not transferrable and cannot be converted into credits notes or cash, and do not give the customer the right to receive any change in cash.
9.15 Each discount voucher may be awarded and used only once even if the subscriber decides to use the vouchers immediately. The immediate usage option is only allowed on reaching Moon Walker or Star Walker status.
10.1 Products purchased at a Geox Shop may only be returned to the same Geox Shop they were purchased at. To make the return it is essential to produce original purchase receipt. Returns without the original receipt cannot be accepted.
10.2 In case of returning the product(s) purchases in a Geox Shop taking part in the “Every step brings a benefit” program, the return will cancel the points (including the basic point and points earned by other special promotional event) awarded for purchase of the returned product; the points balance will be given on the return receipt or on the Benefeet subscriber’s/member’s personal web page at benefeet.geox.com, if activated.
10.3 If cancelling the points for the return leads to a points balance lower than a status previously reached, achieving that status again with subsequent purchases will not be awarded with any discount voucher, since the same has previously been awarded.
10.4 Returns of products purchased using birthday discount
In the case of a return of an item purchased using a birthday discount, the birthday discount of 20% will be valid for use on another purchase only if the return of the products and that subsequent purchase are both made with the validity period of the birthday discount.
Points earned for the returned product(s) will be subtracted from the subscriber’s/member’s account automatically upon return of product(s).
If subscriber/ member substitutes the returned product with another product during the birthday discount validity period, the points received will be calculated based on net value of the substitute product’s purchase price after the 20% discount.
10.5 Return of the products after the birthday discount validity period
In the case of a return of an item purchased using a birthday discount after the discount validity period, the subscriber/member will NOT be entitled to the birthday discount of 20% for the subsequent purchase.
Points earned for the returned product(s) will be subtracted from the subscriber’s/member’s account automatically upon return of product(s); however, if subscriber/member substitutes the returned product after the birthday discount validity period, the points received will be calculated based on the net value of the price of products purchased.
